Supervision for Health Care Professionals

I have extensive experience in providing supervision to a range of health care professionals including consultant medics, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, trainee and qualified psychologists. Common supervision themes are listed below.

For counselling and clinical psychology trainees and qualified psychologists 

  • to meet course requirements for personal therapy as part of the training process.
  • for personal and professional development with a focus on clinical skills, managing complex cases or complex team dynamics, personal triggers in and outside work that impact your role, job satisfaction, prevention of burnout

For allied health professionals:

  • to enhance your clinical work by understanding psychological aspects of change, the interplay of mental and physical health problems, psychological interventions to support you and your patients in managing or overcoming difficulties and making sustained behavioural changes.
  • using psychological models including schema therapy to support your work with complex problems, to address personal triggers which affect your work, addressing burnout 

Specialist schema therapy supervision

I also provide ongoing schema therapy supervision for those already qualified as schema therapists.
